Trans Dating Traffic: Where the Volume Is and Why So Few Advertisers Buy It

Author: SolAds Media Team, published on: 28.10.2026

Trans dating is one of the larger channels in our network and one of the least contested. It handles around 30 million impressions a month, most of them in Germany, and competition for it stays unusually light. For advertisers with a fitting offer, that is a rare combination.

A few weeks ago we looked at gay dating traffic and found a similar pattern. Trans dating takes it further. Below you will find where the volume sits and how to get a first campaign off the ground.

How big is trans dating traffic?

Bigger than most buyers assume. Across the network the trans channel sees roughly 30 million monthly impressions. Germany is the heavyweight with more than 23 million on Native alone, and the DACH region as a whole makes up around 85 percent of the total.

Italy is the clear number two at over 3 million. After that the numbers drop into the hundreds of thousands, with Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Austria and the Netherlands leading the pack. Smaller European markets fill out the rest.

Those figures are a snapshot from October 2026. Volumes move, so the live trans placements overview is the place to check current numbers per country and format.

Why competition stays so thin

Mostly because few advertisers have an offer built for this audience. Plenty of dating brands could serve it, but they run trans as a checkbox inside a general campaign, if at all. That leaves the channel to a small group of specialists.

You can see it in the bidding. Across much of Europe the trans channel is barely contested, and even in Germany, with all that volume, average prices sit well below what the big mainstream channels cost. Whoever turns up with a decent offer gets first pick.

Where to start

Germany first. It is where the volume is, and Native gives you enough traffic there to get meaningful data within days rather than weeks.

Once that runs, Italy is the obvious next step. Large volume, very little competition. Switzerland and the UK are smaller but tend to support higher prices, which usually means users with spending power. Austria rounds off the German-speaking side.

The smaller, lightly contested markets deserve a mention too. Volumes in places like the Netherlands or Belgium are modest, but with so little competition you are effectively testing for the cost of the clicks you actually get. Cheap lessons are still lessons.

Native or banner?

Native Text on a CPC basis carries about 95 percent of the available trans volume, so for most campaigns it is the backbone. It sits inside the content, reads like part of the page and you only pay when someone clicks.

Banners on a CPM basis are the smaller add-on. In Germany the mobile 320x100 placement alone sees around a million impressions a month, with 728x90 behind it. Useful for reach and for staying visible to users who have already seen your Native ads.

Creatives that land with this audience

The single biggest lever is relevance. A generic dating banner with the targeting switched to trans tends to underperform, because users notice straight away that it wasn't made for them. A creative and landing page built for the audience does far better.

Language matters as well. Use the terms the community uses for itself. Dated or derogatory labels cost you clicks and trust, and some of them create compliance headaches on top. Clear, respectful copy with a direct hook almost always beats something louder.

Good timing

We are heading into cuffing season, the stretch from October to Valentine's Day when dating activity climbs across all channels. Our cuffing season calendar covers how to plan it month by month. For trans dating the case is even stronger, since you get to build your data now while competition is still light.

Frequently asked questions

How much trans dating traffic is available?

Across the SolAds network the trans dating channel handles around 30 million impressions per month. Germany alone accounts for more than 23 million of them.

Which countries have the most trans dating traffic?

Germany leads by a wide margin, followed by Italy with more than 3 million monthly impressions. Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Austria and the Netherlands also carry meaningful volume.

Is trans dating traffic expensive?

Usually not. Far fewer advertisers bid on it than on casual dating, so competition stays light across most markets. Current rates per market are listed in the placements overview.

Which ad format works best for trans dating?

Native Text on a CPC basis carries roughly 95 percent of the available volume. Banners on a CPM basis add reach, with the mobile 320x100 format being the largest banner placement.

Do I need a dedicated trans dating offer?

It helps a lot. Users respond far better to a landing page and creatives built for them than to a general dating page with the targeting switched on.
